Consultation has concluded
As part of the North Okanagan Transit Future Plan, BC Transit, in collaboration with the City of Vernon, hosted several public consultation stations in September 2017. These consultation stations presented the proposed transit service changes in the Vernon Regional Transit System to the public for feedback and comments. Please fill out our ONLINE SURVEY(open from Sept 22 to Oct 6).If you fill out the survey, you’ll be entered to win a month of free transit! Survey hard copies are available at the Community Services Building (3001 – 32 Avenue – the old library) from September 22 until October 6.
The proposed changes will add 7,000 service hours to the system. In addition to a core route connecting downtown directly with retail at the north end of town, the goal is to improve the operating efficiency of the system by reducing duplication and making routes more direct.
Proposed changes include:
Introduction of new route, providing a direct connection from downtown Vernon to retail destinations at the north end of Vernon.
Major route changes to 2 Pleasant Valley, 3 Alexis Park, 7 OK Landing and 8 Bella Vista
