Official Community Plan - adopted

On Monday, December 15, Council adopted Official Community Plan Bylaw 6200, 2025.

The Official Community Plan (OCP) is Vernon’s long-term strategic land use plan, guiding where and how growth will take shape. The OCP provides the broad vision for the community and is supported by other bylaws such as the Zoning Bylaw and the Subdivision and Servicing Bylaw that set regulations based on the guidance of the OCP.

Thank you to everyone who engaged, participated, and contributed to shaping Vernon’s OCP. Your time, thoughts, and input were instrumental in creating a plan that reflects our community’s values and vision for how Vernon will live, work, move, and play over the next 20 years. In the new year, we will share more about how you can continue to be involved and the actions the City is taking to implement the new OCP.
