The City of Vernon has an Official Community Plan (OCP) Amendment Policy that guides the City in its consideration of OCP amendment applications. The policy states that amendment applications are considered annually, after March 1st. It also states that a public open house will be hosted by the City, in addition to the legislated Public Hearing process, to provide community residents with an additional opportunity to consider the amendment applications.

The applicant has applied to AMEND the Official Community Plan (OCP) for 2702 and 2800 40th Street from 'SLD - Small Lost Residential' to 'P3 - Public and Institutional' in order to expand and upgrade an existing seniors residential care facility. This application is referenced as OCP00096.

The City’s corporate OCP Amendment Applications Policy requires that an public open house be held to provide community residents with an additional opportunity to consider the application. As directed by Council, an ONLINE OPEN HOUSE will be held between DECEMBER 8 TO DECEMBER 22.
