In British Columbia, an OCP is a long-range plan that sets out policies for how a community will accommodate population growth. By 2045, an additional 20,000 people are expected to move to our community. Our new OCP will reflect our community vision for how our neighbourhoods and transportation networks can be enriched and improved to best support our growing population. This Plan will cover the following topics:<ul><li>Housing and neighbourhood development</li><li>Transportation and infrastructure</li><li>Recreation, parks and trails</li><li>Climate and environmental stewardship</li><li>Economic development</li></ul>What is a Transportation Plan? A Transportation Plan guides how a community&rsquo;s transportation system, such as roads, public transit, and cycling paths, will grow and develop in line with its OCP. Vernon&#39;s Transportation Plan will identify priority actions for everything from trails and bike lanes to buses and roads. It will make streets more accessible for everyone by organizing space along our streets for things like parking, loading zones, sidewalks, outdoor patios, and bus stops.

Recreation Services has been offering a wide and varied line up of camps for many years for our community. Over the last few years (post-pandemic) we have noticed that the needs of the community are changing and we feel that it may be time for a &lsquo;refresh&rsquo;. As a result, we are reaching out to you to learn how to best offer camps and programs in the summer months.Please take a few moments to complete our survey as we try to gain information on how to best offer services.
