Introduction

Have your say about the 2025 budget. Your input will help Mayor and Council understand the public's priorities on various services provided by the City, and will better inform Council's future financial decisions.

Background

Near the end of each year, Council reviews, discusses and debates the annual operating and capital budget proposed by Administration for the next calendar year. Prior to the budget deliberation meetings, Administration reviews each area of operation and prepares recommendations for potential adjustments. Council then reviews the recommendations, and the feedback provided by members of the public, to make informed decisions.

The annual operating and capital budget is part of the City's five-year financial plan to maintain and improve municipal services and support Council's Strategic Plan.

As part of the public consultation process, a survey is available below that discusses various areas of service and whether these services are currently meeting public expectation.

Step 1: Review the breakdown of $1.00 of the 2024 Property Taxes.

Step 2: Complete a short five minute survey below to tell us what you think about the City's areas of service, whether you support less, the same or more investment in 18 areas across the City. The survey will be open until Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
